J. Stephen Barley, B.Com., LLB.
Executive Chairman & Director
Mr. Barley has over 30 years of experience in the public corporate arena assisting in the structuring of mergers, acquisitions and providing corporate finance advice. After 15 years of private practice as a corporate finance and securities lawyer, Mr. Barley left the practice of law in 1997 to become President of CHM Financial Services Inc., a private company offering advice to and investing in numerous public companies engaged in the resource and technology sector. Currently he is involved in a number of TSX listed resource companies engaged in international projects and is engaged as Chairman, President or a director in those businesses. Mr. Barley remains a member in good standing of the Law Societies of British Columbia and Alberta and holds a B.Com. degree from Mount Allison University and a LLB. from Dalhousie University.
R. Joe Sandberg, B.Sc., MBA, AIPG
President, CEO & Director
Joe Sandberg has been involved in exploration development and project management in the mining industry for over 40 years with the majority of that time focused on the southwest US mining district. Mr. Sandberg has a B.Sc. in geology, a MBA and received his Certified Professional Geologist designation through the American Institute of Professional Geologists. He has extensive experience in both base metal and precious metals project development in open pit and underground situations. Mr. Sandberg has managed Redhawk’s Copper Creek project since 2004 most recently acting as Vice-President Development of the Company’s US subsidiary based in San Manuel Arizona. His previous experience includes various management positions with Franco Nevada Mining, Normandy Mining, and Newmont Mining.
Alec Peck C.A
Mr. Peck completed his chartered accountant’s requirements with Deloitte & Touche in Vancouver and then practiced in Alberta and Toronto. From 1986 until 1993 he was a partner in Toronto and then Vancouver with member offices of the international public accounting firm Horwath International. From 1993 until March 2004 Mr. Peck was vice president in the corporate finance group of two publicly listed, full service investment dealers. He currently provides specialty financing and advisory services to Canadian private and public corporations.
A. Joseph Fernandez B.Sc. Mining Engineering
Vice-President Project Development
Mr. Fernandez has over 30 years of practical experience in mine engineering, supervision and management. He has a strong background in feasibility studies and cost analysis and budgeting. Joe was most recently the Vice President of Project Development for Antares Minerals, Inc. on their Haquira copper project in Peru. He has worked at both the BHP and Asarco operations on either side of Redhawk’s Copper Creek project and therefore has an intimate understanding of mining operations in Pinal County, Arizona. He obtained his Bachelor of Science, Mining Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Director & Advisor
Mr. Ratte has over 30 years of mineral processing experience including mine management, commissioning, operating and maintaining large copper concentrators. His background with a major copper producer included evaluating and developing new copper businesses as well as providing technical support to existing copper operations. In one operation Mr. Ratte was responsible on an annual basis for the production of a million tonnes of copper concentrate containing a billion pounds of copper. He has a very strong background in metallurgy and process optimization. Mr. Ratte has a BASc in Mineral Engineering, an Executive MBA and is a Registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
Steven C. Bastable
Steve has over 30 years of experience in the equity finance markets. He is a private investor and advisor and was a Partner of the Vancouver based brokerage firm Bolder Investment Partners Ltd. and was formerly a Director of Institutional Equities with CIBC -Wood Gundy. Steve has been involved with Redhawk for the past eight years and has been instrumental in arranging ongoing financing for the Copper Creek project. He brings significant corporate finance expertise to the Redhawk Board of Directors as Redhawk continues the development of its Copper Creek project.
Kevin Puil, BA, CFA
Kevin Puil is a former fund manager and analyst with over 18 years of experience managing natural resource investments. Currently he is the managing partner at RIVI Capital, a natural resource focused private equity firm. Prior to that, he held senior positions at several firms including Bolder Investment Partners (now Haywood Securities), where he was a Partner and Portfolio Manager; Gissen & Associates as Portfolio Manager and the Encompass Fund as Senior Analyst of natural resources. Kevin holds a degree in Economics from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
K. Brock Riedell, B.A., M.S.
Consulting Geologist & Advisor
Brock Riedell has over 35 years experience in the mining industry, with emphasis on porphyry copper-molybdenum-gold exploration and advanced project work in North and South America. For the last three years he has consulted to multiple clients, providing technical oversight, target assessments, and staff mentoring on porphyry projects. He has worked on the Copper Creek project and served on Redhawk’s Advisory Board since November 2009. His prior experience includes exploration and economic evaluation positions with BHP Billiton (where he served as Chief Geologist on the global minerals exploration team), Newmont, and Exxon Coal and Minerals.
Jack H. L. Miller B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc., P.Eng.
Mr. Miller holds a B.A.Sc. and a M.A.Sc. in geological engineering and is a registered professional engineer. Jack has held various site operating and head office leadership roles in multiple base and precious metal operating companies. In these roles, Mr. Miller has been responsible for the entire mine development cycle; starting from exploration, through development and finally to operations. His most recent role, prior to retirement in 2010, was Chief Operating Officer for Quadra FNX Mining Ltd.
Ms. Lysova brings extensive corporate experience in both public and private sectors in North America and Europe. Prior to joining Redhawk, she managed office of Serengeti Resources, Vancouver based mineral exploration company, led legal team at UniCredit Bank in its Moscow head office and provided legal services to a privately owned group of companies. Ms. Lysova has degree in civil law from Moscow State University and Diploma in Business Management from British Columbia Institute of Technology.
